WORK IN CANADA

Excellent work opportunities, Growing economy, EI and CPP benefits

WORK

Numerous skilled and unskilled foreign workers apply for Canadian Work visa every year, not only because they are looking for new prospects in one of the most multicultural and welcoming countries in the world but also because of the excellent job opportunities and the incredible work benefits that come along with it. This has led to many immigrants choosing to work in Canada with the promise of fair salaries and excellent quality of life.

Work Visa/Work Permit

Apply for a work permit directly from your home country through LMIA supported job offer, intracompany transfer, and other LMIA exempt work permit categories. In some cases, when applying for a temporary foreign worker permit, you will be required to attend an interview with a visa officer. If the visa officer is satisfied that the foreign worker’s employment will not adversely affect employment in Canada for Canadian citizens and permanent residents and also conforms that the foreign worker qualifies for the position, then a work permit will be issued at the port of entry.

Post-Graduate Work Permit

Apply for Post-Graduate Work Permit (PGWP)- an open Work Permit after you finish your education from a DLI institution in Canada. Duration ranges from 8 months to a maximum of 3 years depending on the duration of your course.

Work Permit Extension

If the work permit is about to or has already expired, there are options to extend their stay:
Get the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) based job offer from your current or new employer and extend the work permit.
Apply for the BOWP if you already applied for the permanent residency and it reached to an eligibility stage.
If the work permit expired less than three months ago, you can restore the status and stay in Canada with legal status.

Spousal Open Work Permit

Invite your spouse in Canada while you are a student or work permit holder. The spouse can get an open work permit till the validity of your status. It will allow the spouse to work full time for any employer in Canada except for the employment specified in the work permit.
